Beggars with dogs take a rest from the heat in the late afternoon. All the

travelling beggars seem to have dogs with them, which they tie up in the

shade normally on their own. A previous shot of mine shows a group of

dogs on their own, but on this occaission the owners appeared to stay

with their dog in the shade. I would appreciate your views, comments on

this shot. Many thanks

Hi William,

I like the street scene mixed in with the building structures.

The variety of interesting elements makes for a good capture.

A 23mm lens set at F/8 would have provided the same DOF shown in the image. The small change from F/11 to F/8 will improve the definition from the lens and it will allow ISO 160 to be used rather than ISO 320. Small changes can add up quickly. The 1/250 second exposure is more than adequate for any hand held shot with a 23mm lens setting.

For me, I would have shot this this at F/5.6, ISO 100, focusing 1/2 way down the fence line using the 23mm setting.

Best Regards,  Mike

I like it, the fence is a strong leading line in to the image and the blue tint from the shadow creates nice color contrast.

Great work.

Best regards Tore

Many thanks for your kind comments my photo. I find with the 5Dmk2 that the sensor is so good that there is not a lot of difference between 100 and 320ASA settings and my age I like the faster shutter speeds. I have to say that the 5D mk2 produces better results than its big brother that I use. Its light weight and its versatility allows me to concentrate on the photo especially with the 17-40 lense. Once again many thanks for taking the time to comment William
