There is a favorite place of mine not too long of a drive from where I

live that imports many articles from Indonesia, Balea, and

surrounding Islands. I have a great time Photographing many of the

articles they bring in. The background image of this Compositon was

taken there. I thought to combine these images would be interesting

as the 'postures' of the Rose and the Statue seemed so similar. I do

not post the image of the Statue for any 'Religious' purposes of my

own. I just found this Statue to be very humbling and full of praise. It

is often in different positions but always in a 'humble' position.

The 'detail' information is from the Image of the Rose Bud. I hope

you find the combination of the two both Interesting and Serene as I

do. Thank you for visiting, Gail

To be honest, at first glance I didn't care for it; fortunately for me, more looks changed my opinion.

What's so nice about this is that there seem to be more than two layers to draw interest. Very well done and compelling photo!

I guess I could have left a bit more room at top....(valid point) thankyou! But glad you found some merit in this composition. Truly appreciate your support, kind regards, Gail

Good to hear from you and to know that you are appreciating these compositions. We all learn from each other, that's one of the great things here on PN.

Kind regards, talk soon, Gail

Very valid point.  They are both rather beautiful, feminine, soft, and gentle on the eyes. Somehow when I thought of layering they seemed to fit just nicely.

Thanks so much for your suppport David, and for sharing your thoughts with me.  Kind regards, Gail

Thankyou for your kind words of critique. You are like me a lot. There are times I view an image and it just doesn't seem to 'click' with me...but as I view it more, I understand the underlying composition.

Many thanks for your support, truly appreciate your view.

Kind regards, Gail

Thankyou my 'happy Mexican' for your always kind and 'upbeat' critiques. They may be short, but always put a smile on my face as I know they come from you. I hope you and yours are well and enjoying what is left of summer!!!  But I guess it is almost always warm in Mexico!!!

Kind regards, Gail

This part has the biggest appeal to me  and when you combine the two, we have a winner. (6)
