mikeosmond 0 Posted September 8, 2011 Hi Maria,Flowers are always a beautiful subject for photography but there are so many photo's of them that one must take care to try and make your shots stand out.In this case I would suggest that the light is too sharp and flat and that the best time to take photo's of flowers would be in the early morning or late afternoon, or else, believe it or not, when there is cloud overcast.Another aspect is to try and compose the shot in an interesting way. In this image the flowers are too central in the frame and the point of view is too straight. Try kneeling way down and shoot the flowers against the background of the sky or some other inetersting way.My last suggestion would be to look at as many floral photo's as you can, choose those you like, figure out what it is that appeals to you and use that as your inspiration.Regards,Mike Link to comment
maria 7 Posted September 10, 2011 Hi,the workshop was from 10 am to 12 am, this is when I had the lens.I was fascinated that you can get this kind of images just changing the lens. But, true, I realised that the shots with normal lens I took with sun in the front in Budapest are more interestingthank youMaria Link to comment
