Vladimir:  I enjoy chess too.  Everyone who plays (except for time chess) is always concentrating very much.  This man is.  I would like to have seen more of his competitor.  He seems cut off; you cannot see his face at all.  It would have been nice to see his expression as well to compare to the first man.  It would seem like more of a match.  That would also balance the space off to the right of the right player.  Maybe if you had stepped over a little to the right before shooting.  The leaf on the top should be cropped out.  It doesn't belong.  The lights between the players is distracting.  Nice shot.  Alan.

Thanx a lot. Alan I agree with u all the way, yet this is a night shot taken from tripod, some benches were on the way so this was the best i could do at the moment..

angle...My first mistake was not to use higher ISO rather than 100, ISO 800 would facilitate me to use 1/60 sec. for a much better image...I am aware of my shortcomings...

Vladimir:  The second shot with the link is very interesting.  The movement of the player's arm actually makes it interesting. The last photo shows both players and the observer concentrating on the game.  The observer's head is block by the left player, but this shot is better than the original. Both pictures are better than your first shot I think.

Check.  Alan.

Right again...DOF is too shallow on the last image due to f 2.o, composition is better...Thanx.
