Was not sure which category to place this (Abstract) . The background

was darkened to let the water drops stand out better. Any thoughts?

I think you did well Tony. I like this because it is different and because you are catorgorizing it as abstract, it fits well. I am a huge fan of water shots and have enjoyed this one very much

Hi Tony,

Very nice.  I have taken hundreds of pictures of fountains.  I saw the potential but could not succeed in getting a really good one.  You did, I think it is the background who makes this a winner.

Well Done,

Ben

Wow! Great eye Tony! Love the silvery water against the dark background. How did you get the black background anyway? Excellent work Tony!

All the best,
Neil

Diamonds dancing in the air over a bed of gold dust. They should be dancing for joy. Nicely seen and treated. A step beyond the ususal. Well captured. - Charles

Hugh, Julie, Joscelyn, Ben, Neil and Charles - I appreciate your support on this image - one that i enjoy.

Neil I used the color range selection tool and i had to do some additional manual work to get it like this.

Charles - thanks for rating my other water spout image. It was sitting at a 4.25 avg so i took it that most people except you did not think much of it. I decided to delete it since photo.net is like a 'focus group' that gives one an unbiased reaction to images.

I agree with the other comments, Tony.  Nice eye and imagination.  You took a relatively simple shot and made it into something special.

Well done...

I do think it helps to have some solid object to ground the picture.  I'm sure there are pictures to dispute that assertion, but this isn't one of them.

I definitely prefer short exposures of water.  It's what water looks like to me.  best, jamie
