Sam - While the graphic nature of the rocks and repeated patterns looks to have potential, I think your exposure is way off.  Way overexposed.  The water and sky detail is nearly lost completely.  Midtones are muddy.  If you can, maybe go back to your original file and see if you can process the image 2 x, for highlights and then for shadows.  They copy one on top of the other using layers, and then "erase" to reveal the best of both images.  High contrast scenes are very difficult to get in one shot.
