Joshua Tree National Park is a tough place to photograph, even though

it has beautiful desert scenes. This particular one is made better by

these wonderful clouds. It was very windy and cold at the time of this

early afternoon photograph. Although this is not my favorite time to

take photographs, I just couldn’t pass up these clouds. I think the

Pixel Bender filter, with its painterly qualities, makes this a much

more pleasing image.

Not only are you a talented Photography artist but a comedian too. Very funny Pierre, I got a good laugh at your witty comment. Thanks for the kind words too!

Great image!  I normally don't like the "artistic filters" but for some reason this just looks right and very striking.  The colors are very saturated, but with the artistic bent they seem fine.  I like the composition and balance of the frame.  I would like to see it without the filter just out of curiousity.  Very nice job on this!

Thanks John, I find that these Pixel Bender filter images seem to look better with a higher saturation than unfiltered ones. I am attaching the unfiltered image.
