Wow! This one is certainly different to your usual exquisit "birds on the wing" type presentations, and do I detect a falconers thong?

I'm not sure that I like the white backgound, nor the blue eye but the marked plumage is great.

I'm hesitant to say any more.

Not a falconers thong, but a leg band, applied at a young age, which was done in years past for tracking birds, as peregrines were an endangered species

Whilst a white background can sometimes be undesirable from a photographers viewpoint, I think it really works with this shot. It gives the impression of being a work of fine art rather than a photograph. I can imagine a series of similar images adorning the walls of a stately home. Top quality as usual.
