Hi Sam, interesting "environmental architecture photography". But for me it is not clear whether you wanted to focus on the opera itself or its environment. The crop could be (much) tighter, first, to pay more attention to the opera and the yellow cranes, and secondly because the bottom of the picture is a little overexposed.

Kind regards, Alex

Hi Alex,

I know what you mean.

However, for me, being on the roof of a building, what you can see from there is an integral part of the building's environment.

This is not an architectural image from a advertising brochure for selling a new building. For such purposes usually the environment is left out, disgarded - inviting bad surprises once the structure stands & is occupied by seing creatures like people.

In this image the single person striding over the roof's expanse is in marked contrast to the optical building mess outside.

The slightly over-exposed bit of roof indicates the enormous glare of the bright surface - necessitating the wearing of sunglasses.

Hope I've answered your queries to your satisfaction.

cheers

Sam
