Very unique and interesting work, your images here showing your personnel stile and great control over your creative ideas, thats not so easy and not many are having such gift, with this work the b/w format is also adding a lot of interest to the image and enhencing its composition.

Thank you my friend for sharing it and wishing you all of the best.

a compelling synthesis of painting and photography.

The reflecting and the original are in the line of sight of the beholder (underlined by shadow and light - seeming to beam from his face). I might be a bit too suspicious but this bright area looks a bit like added in postprocessing (the only drawback I found ;-)). Dark element on the left and -exact opposite- face on the right edge form a dense frame and voyeuristic atmosphere (in connection with the painting's subject).

So, there's tight, intense connection between the elements: painting, reflection, beholder - the reflection near his forehead suggest to be a symbol of the image forming in his mind while closeness of beholder to the image plane allows to identify with him - as if reflections ripple through into my mind...

Phantastic idea - phantastic photo.

Best regards, Wolfgang

Dear Wolfgang, excellent analysis. Thanks for that. Yes, indeed the posttreatment with the light spot: its surealistic! Please find the original as shooted version. BR JV
