imagesbycw 0 Posted August 19, 2011 There was some fairly dramatic lighting due to the clouds being moved by the wind and I am not sure if I overdid or 'underdid' the photoshop post processing. Thank you for your opinions! Link to comment
lonebearimages 0 Posted August 19, 2011 I like this a lot! Really does evoke a sense of space and expansiveness. Pretty darned good composition too. I might have moved a step or two closer and put the back of the bench a bit above the horizon, just to really emphasize its place as an element in the image, but that's just me. I really like just the barest touch of surrealism that you've created with this image. Nice and original, and well seen, Claudia! Cheers! Chris Link to comment
tracy_wilson1 0 Posted August 19, 2011 Great shot! I love the simplicity of the scene, still there are a lot of interesting elements. The colors are nice and inviting. I agree that the bench would look better just above the horizon. Also, a little fill light to make the colors in the grass to pop and play more into the picture.Very interesting cloud formations against a nice blue sky.Best regards,Tracy Link to comment
Pierre Dumas 266 Posted August 20, 2011 And perfect composition with wonderful colors! The picture is rarely seen, such an openness and wide space shown is really a very rare spectacle! I would rate it certainly with seven!Congratulations Claudia!Best regards! PDE Link to comment
imagesbycw 0 Posted August 20, 2011 Thank you all so much for your positive reactions! The bank - that would have been an option to try out. Fill light - actually the added vignette is taking the color out of the grass, I found it a little overwhelming, but now I think you are right and I'll try at least a little more. Open space - yep, that it was. And is, I believe ;-) Standing on top of the dike, which is really not that high, gives you a very nice view and kind of makes you feel 'standing in space' - I love the ocean! Link to comment
