When I go to your recent folder I know I will be in for a treat and I was not disappointed with this image. I love the color blue and this image has it's full share. I have read somewhere that for mountain scenes, use of a UV filter helps to reduce the blue just a tad. If this is how the scene appeared, then forget what I just said. Congrats on a very fine shot.

thanks a lot for your helpful thoughts, Tony!

you pointed out some interesting stuff. it is hard to judge how it was in reality. first of all, it was almost dark, and the sun was gone already for some time. exposing so bright, then adjust contrast and saturation  - in the end this usually results that the blues are a little bit stronger than to the naked eye. as polarizer is indispensable, i usually dont use other filters, especially the ones i can replace easier by post processing. i use to adjust the color balance in the raw converter manually, so, any unwanted color cast could be removed easily. and because the exposure is brighter than it was in reality ( for aesthetical reasons), if i get rid of the blues, the whole scene will look similar to a usual daylight shot ( the light is a lot softer though). i felt it to leave this way, because my goal was to reproduce the impact i felt there, not the objective reality. and besides, i also like those blue hour colors.

all the best!

The "blue hour" colours you refer to are also a favourite of mine. This is a real treat to the eyes, I love the illuminated sparse clumps of grass amongst the limestone and the warm to cool colour gradation in the sky. Very well done!

Best Regards
