OK Maybe you could try a true diagonal. Let the stripes start lower right and the horizon be upper left.

Yes- i would say the same... I would've continued the slant unitl it REALLY bisected the image frame... if it was physically possible for me at the time...

if not- then just crop and rotate it until it's a true diagonal...with the double line emerging from the lower right cornet.. and disappearing into the upper left...

 

but regardless- still an captivating image.... Luv long roadways....

I agree, that rotating the image and cropping it would be a true diagonal, but I like this the way it is. Sometimes you just have to break the rules to be different.
