Quality time

I love this - not to be coy but it speaks to me.

Several things about this are excellent: composition, tonality, the colors.

 I judge a composition by becoming aware of what my eyes do in looking at it. They go first to the boat and then to the left dark mountain (principle of thirds); then go to the white clouds and move back to discover the far-off mountains with patches of snow - then back to the boat but followed by an examination of the ripples that takes me to the bottom left - then back to the contrast line between dark mountain and clouds.  I go around again, but take time to examine the reflections of the two in the boat, the local wave effect of the oars, do one last once over and feel finished at looking but very rewarded by the sight.

Thank you for creating and sharing such a lovely image. I had a quality time looking at it.
