I like your crop, it emphasises your wonderful portrait.

There is merit to both the un-cropped and cropped version but I will give the edge to the un-cropped version since the space and muted elements add value to the image IMHO. The expression on the man evokes a certain 'proudness' - his head is held high and I can sense the music.
