To my taste the best of the three, even as I am still addicted to the vertical frames.

Perhaps less powerful, but shows more balance and grandeur of the place.

good work

Strong foreground which is very sharp with a lot of details, magic light, low profile clouds, and the contract of colors, all are at the right place.  Great work.  Best Regards,

Zsolt, you are absolutely right it is a completely different picture.  The foreground element doesn't come out so predominantly in this landscape format, which is a shame because the textures and colors you captured in the foreground stones in your vertical format are exceptionally beautiful. However the addition of the deep blue lake is definitely a plus (even though i would have preferred if it had not been slightly cut off to the right) as it adds an element of middle ground. It is a difficult composition and maybe Mark is right and a pano would have been an option although it is not easy to combine different exposures and pano together.  They are two excellent images, but my vote would go for the vertical frame because of the beauty of the foreground element which really captures and captivate the eye.  Lovely shots both of them.  Regards - michel

An extraordinary and stunning landscape, Zsolt!

The d.o.f. is amazing ~ as is the perfect exposure.

The combination of elements makes this a real winner in my book!

My compliments and top marks!

For me, the vertical is like a slice and the horizontal is the whole pie! I vote for the whole pie! In fact, I have to put this in my favorites right now!!

Amazingly beautiful, I love the blend of colours and the amount of sky is just right-strengethening the foreground.  HDR or grad filter/s?  cheers, Guy
