Thanks for viewing/comments! The US Open Of Surfing is comming to a

close tomorrow but unfortunately I had to go to a memorial service today

and only can squeeze 1.5 hours to shoot. It gets better at the end since

only the best enter the final, can wait for the 1,2 hours to shoot

tomorrow. :-)

Thanks Grayham! After posted this I notice that the sky background is a bit noisy and run noise reduction on that as well as the green water on the lower right and it's much better. I keep the surfer and all that water flash with no noise reduction though.  I should have cut the ISO down to 320 or so to start out with since I have plenty of shutter speed (1/3200 and I only need around 1/1600) to start out with. Just trying out Av (aparture prefered to try out opening the f-stop per Mike P. suggestion) :-)

I'm enjoying your surf series Tm J.  I like this shot.    I make the rounds by the bird sanctuary, kite surfers, and then surf too.  Thanks for posting the tech info.  I keep varying aperture, shutter, and ISO trying to find the right combination.  Still learning!
