Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted August 5, 2011 I took 6 sets of pano shots of this lake today... turns out the very first was the keeper. I find getting correct exposure off such changing light still very difficult Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted August 7, 2011 This is a very nice, symmetrical composition with an almost pastel-like quality in the colors, especially the lovely green on the right against the pinkish earthtones of the foreground. I like the way the foreground suggests a sort of rink. I like the reflections of light in the water. They seem to dance. You mentioned exposure. The main cloud and snow (?) feel overexposed, which is probably why the colors are so pastel-like. Especially the two patches that are almost dead center behind the lake at the shoreline really draw my attention because they're so graphically white. Link to comment
Leonard-just-Leonard 8 Posted August 7, 2011 the main problem I was having is the sun coming up from the left side casting a shadow while blasting the right side with sun... the colour of the lake (as I remember from a few years ago) was more turquoise, probably due to the lower water level and cloud cover that day. either way, this is pretty much how it looked, weird pink shoreline and all Link to comment
