I'm always intrigued by dirt roads that seemingly go nowhere and this

one is no exception. This was taken in Alabama Hills around 10:00 AM,

a time which I'm usually eating breakfast, but this was just too good

to pass up. Even in bright sunlight, it still offers a good image, I

believe the Pixel Bender filter enhanced it, giving more of that "old

west" feeling. I can hear the gun fire even now.

As always! Leo, I downloaded the pixel bender and it doesn't want to install on my CS5 extended! Says it requires 12 and more and it is 12! However, it wouldn't turn a banal landscape into a masterpiece anyway!

Best regards!

Leo, the pixel bender really does improve this shot vastly. I haven't seen the original but I notice that the artistic breakdown of the details in this photo really help to create a split in the image between the mountains and the road. There's a beautiful harmony between them, a yin-yang sort of relationship. Your analogy to the old west gives much more meaning to this shot as well. Furthermore, I like the composition you've chosen, having the road start at the edge and move to the middle really helps to guide the eye through the shot.

Your technical expertise and processing skills and truly revealed by this shot. I congratulate you on a powerful capture and hope to see more artistic works like this in the future. Keep it up!

All the best,

Stan.

First off, I just gave this four aces with a duece kicker!   Second, did you notice your picking up a nice fan base with these artistic renditions?  Very cool Leo, cool indeed!
