Greg, this creature is so cool I had to add to my favorites list.  It's hard to imaging it would have any predators.  I wonder what it looks like in it's next life?  Aloha.

It took me awhile, but finally found it out

hyalophora  cecropia - NA's largest native moth - a silk worm.
