Saturday afternoon I spent a few hours at one of my favorite

Greenhouses, Griffin's, I took many photos there last summer, and

had meant to visit again this summer much earlier. Everything was

on half price!! Their hanging baskets are enormous, beautiful and

full. To my delight I learned that Sunday afternoon they were going to

have a Garden Party in the area behind their beautiful pond where

they often have Wedding and Numerous other Parties. Sunday was

their Customer Appreciation Day. They put a lot of work into the

event, delicious refreshments, a talented duo who played tunes all

afternoon. Their name was 'Unrehearsed'....quite unique I thought.

The owners are kind and always happy to see me 'klicking' away,

enjoying their bountiful array of flowers. What I enjoy most is they

have some of the most unique and exotic plants for outdoors in the

area. People left with cars filled to the brim with beautiful flowers.

The day seemed to be a great success. In business for 43 years,

Ann and her husband Jack, are dedicated to this Love of horticulture.

This may seem an unusual image to begin with, but I am busy

working on so many, I can't choose at the moment. This composition

is of the side view of a white Lily, beautiful on it's own, but I decided

to see what I could create by combining 2 of the same image.

(thankyou for dropping by, sincere regards, Gail)

Thankyou Joseph, glad you found merit in the image. Not everyone's 'cup of tea' but the end result kind of reminded me of a an image done with a steel plate press. There is an artist in the town where I live who does some fabulouse images that way. Thee will be a Studio Tour near the end of summer and I'm quite looking forward to it.

Thanks for your visit and kind words of critique, most encouraging, Gail

I'm not returning back your flattering comment Gail, I really think that this is the most successful abstract of yours! And I must tell you to stick to this kind of frames!I think that the using of "fancy" frames is kind of underestimating of the content inside!

Best regards!

It's wierd sometimes how that happens, and I had the same feeling at the time. You are the first to notice! I want to post the original but may have to wait till later.

Thankyou for your encouragement, lovely to hear, cheers for now,Gail

Hi Gail,

Two aspects I enjoy here:

I am drawn into the center of this image and,

the simple black frame encloses me perfectly.

Outstanding artistic work.

Fine work with your 100mm macro lens, too !

Warmest Regards,  Mike

You have a lovely way of critiquing Mike.

And the encouragement and sharing of wisdom is most appreciated. Not everyone would be so kind.

My sincerest thanks, Gail
