Cockle For Breakfast

Thanks for viewing/comments! These gulls are so clever that they would

pick up the clam/cockle and drop on the rock to open up the broken

clam to eat.

Sweet!  Simple and perfect capture, it looks like he's barely got ahold of it, but he has.  Very nice, and it really makes me think differently about a seagull, because I expect scavenging, not clamming.  Well done, congrats!

Nice capture. I was almost plunked in the head by a Herring Gull dropping a Quahog onto the gravel path I traveled.

Thanks Matthew! Never occur to me of that possibility, next time if I go and shoot bird I make sure to wear a hat. I had been pooped on before but that cockle can do some serious dammage to the head -  :-)
