michael_hanisch 0 Posted March 27, 2003 One of several images I shot during a recent visit to the Olympic Stadium in Munich. I really like the combination of strong colors and strong lines here - the construction of the roof makes for some excellent shots (more to come - shots that is, I can't guarantee the "excellent" part...). I'd really like to get some feedback on this one - especially on composition, but also on (digital) darkroom technique as this is my first attempt at using curves and USM. Any comments are highly appreciated. Link to comment
johnlund 0 Posted March 27, 2003 Wow, that is bold stuff for a stadium. It's almost noisy! So much color and pattern. I might crop down to the top of the "doorway" atop the stairs and a proportional amount from the right side. I think that leaves better proportions between the seats and ceiling. I look forward to seeing your other shots. Link to comment
michael_hanisch 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Hi John, and thanks for your comment. Yes, I've been thinking about cropping - I find that "gateway" above the stairs rather distracting, and the proportions would have been better, but I thought that the way it is now put's more emphasis on the structures in the roof. Anyway, I followed your advice and cropped a little and I admit that I like it better :-) Link to comment
