Isn't it odd Ruud, how such big dogs can feel so comfortable in a 'confining chair'. Perhaps it was a feeling of 'safety', this fella appears to be aging, and is quite content to be snuggled in tightly. Maybe the sides of the chair touching most of him made him feel as if he was 'wrapped in someone's arms'. And as I glance beyond the dog, all the interesting lines and textures certainly add interest to this shot.

Great shot Ruud, wonderful editing, and your signature Black and White stylings have my 'stamp of approval'.

Kindest regards, Gail

Man's best friend making himself at home. I am a doglover myself and this is what often happens at my house too!  I love the image.

Great b&w, and as Gail said, it has my stamp of approval too!

He can barely squeeze his whole self into that little chair, but does so willingly.  I wonder what's on his mind?

Comfort, really looks more like a tight squeeze to me.  Love dogs, love your work, best regards rek.

Great image, I am a dog lover. I regret that I just had to put my dog to sleep. Warm regards, Robert

Cool image Ruud.  This dog reminds me of one of my uncles who used to have bull dogs all the time.  Looks like he'd like to go to sleep, but is afraid to in fear of falling out of the chair.  That's either a big dog or a small scaled chair.  Cheers!!!

You made me laugh! This is so cute and well taken. I myself at present only have 6 dogs left and must agree that no matter what these creatures always make a plan - They have to be on a chair no matter what. Thank you for sharing another wonderful moment with us. Warmest Regards

I really like this odd situation shot Ruud! I like your impish title as to me despite of the comfortable seats (he chose the one with the cushion!) the dog doesn't look comfortable at all! He's definitively too large for this seat and to me he seems to be spending great efforts in avoiding falling off; his head also seems to be quiet heavy but there's no room or comfortable armrest for it... this raises the question: why is he doing that? The answer I see is what makes this shot really interesting to me: maybe he often sees his masters sitting on those chairs and maybe it makes him feel closer to them to imitate them; the pleasure of feeling closer to his masters is stronger than the discomfort and in a sense that's a human like behaviour: no child likes the first cigarette it tastes, but the desire "to be part of it" is stronger and despite of the awful taste in many cases he won't quit... Now this is my personal interpretation, but what ever someone sees here I think this is a picture where people will be interested by this situation and start thinking about it and this is the marque of a successful image! Well done! Best regards, Jan
