This is from my trip to California in July 2008. On our way up the

White-Inyo mountain to this area we were greeted by high winds and of

all things a slushy snow-sleet. We almost didn’t make to the top where

these 5000 year old trees live. It quite an amazing sight to see such

ancient trees that live more than a millennium longer than any other tree.

The Pixel Bender treatment give it a nice painterly feel. As

you can see by the ominous looking clouds, the storm was just moving out.

Beautifully done!  Wow!  This really came out nicely, and the color palette is spectacular.  Truly an otherworldly kind of place.  Great work, Leo.  Cheers!  Bear

Love your photo which likes a paint.  Thanks for our information about this place, and we will go there some day.  Best regards,

again, pixel bender has taken your photos to another level.  Loved the way the clouds turned out in this one.  Do you have any close-ups of the bristlecone pines?  The reason I say that is, with the texture of the pines it could be made into a really cool pixel bender conversion...Lefty

I do have some close ups and I think you right, the Pixel Bender might make for a good image. Thanks Ray for the kind words.
