I had a hard time deciding which is better for what I was

after....this one, or the one I posted below in the comments.

Definitely this one because the insect is more clearly identifiable, its position in the frame is more balanced with the image, and its pose seem to suggests that it is recognizing itself in the image.  Nice work btw. Regards - michel
