This beautiful meadow on the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne in Yosemite has

a very short life span as the heat of summer will quickly dry it up..

This photograph was one of my favorite from my trip in July of 2008.

In this rendition, I applied the Pixel Bender filter (Oil Paint) which

I believe makes it look even more lush.

I  remember this pond so well.  This is a beautiful interpretation of what we photographed that day.  Nice conversion using Pixel Bender...I'd give it four aces with a deuce kicker...Lefty

I think this is wonderful too, Leo!  The pixel bender really does make this image pop.  It was a very painterly image to begin with, and now it is truly so.  I imagine that these ephemeral ponds are in great shape across Tuolumne Meadows this summer with all of the snowfall that the Sierras received this year.  The park service was saying that snow would be on the ground through late-July near Tioga Pass this year.  Man, I miss the coffee and breakfast at the pass with you guys.  A great trip we had!  Cheers!  Bear
