Twilight mist

Exquisite study in blue-grey, with the ballet of the birds all in the same plane. I think I would lighten the tree on the right to make it nearly disappear in the mist.

Thanks for your comments. Indeed, I never alter  my photos beyond what is allowable for a photo competition (i.e., minor cleaning work (de-dusting), levels, curves, colour, saturation and contrast work of the whole photo, but never a portion of the photo).

Beautiful image. The line of birds and their reflection is exceptionally interesting, each bird shows a different pose and attitude, which means they were completely comfortable with your presence.  I love the monochromatic rendition of this scenery, any color in the scene would have completely change the mood of this scene.  I also think that the two darker right corners contribute to the composition by balancing the light empty areas.  Wonderful image.
