I am interested in your feedback on this image - there is some

(slight) photoshop work to lighten and adjust contrast.

Let me know what you think . . .

Hi Derek,

The image is well captured, with good focus and clarity seen.

There is noise apparent in the image, easiest seen in th black regions. This noise does reduce the image quality a bit, so that is what I would address first. As for the brightness , you can raise the level upwards to show off more of the color saturation obtained in the bee and flower.

I am tempted to show you an example, but I will refrain this time.

Best Regards,  Mike

Hi Derek,

As per your email request, I have processed the Bee for less noise, more brightness/contrast and sharper appearance.

The size shown is done using the enlarged image from your posting.

I trust  that this example shows you what can be done. It is not exclusive, as there are other approaches to post processing, too.

I want to emphasize that any improvements made after the shot are dependant upon the quality of the original. You did a  very good job with the original capture.

Best Regards,  Mike

Hi Derek,

You are welcome.

You have been successful in doing the essential part............capturing a very good original image.

In time, your post processing skills will develop, too.

Keep up the good macro shooting !

Best Regards,  Mike
