that's one of the exciting aspects of taking pictures: you often notice things you hadn't seen before !

Hi Fredrick,

Nice capture.

Two suggestions, use your 105mm macro at a f-stop like F/5.6 or F/8. It will provide you a much better image than F/14 will ever do.

The DOF is of no concern here, because your shooting angle would not permit the entire bug to be in focus anyway.

Second, using a faster f-stop would have resulted in a "cleaner" image due to your high ISO 1000 use. The ISO could easily have been set to 200, and very little noise would be seen in your image. The color saturation would be improved at ISO 200, too.
