Hi Wanghan,

Great perspective and image. This is very well done.

Oh my, at my age if I was standing there to take this image, I would become dizzy and fall over ! My poor photo gear.......................

Best Regards,  Mike

This is another great spot you've found Wanghan! The curves in the foreground rocks makes it almost to an abstract shot. Despite of the harsh light you've got nice vivid red colors and avoided the inclusion of distracting shadows. The blues seems a bit intense on my screen, I'd suggest to selectively reduce the saturation on the blues to get a more natural looking sky (could be my screen though). It would have been good also to have a bit more sky at the top, but I  understand that with a full frame sensor as the 5D has the 17mm lens probably was your widest angle and you wouldn't want to loose foreground neither. Kind regards, Jan

Jan,

Thanks a lot.  I will try to do it better.  I have been to this place 5 times so far.  I will try if there is a chance.  Thanks a lot.  Best regards,

I think this location is photographed to death, but for good reason.  It's such a stunning natural phenomenon, and you've really done it justice with this image.  We had planned to visit here, but unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate.  I hope to see it in person one day.

Christal,

It is worth of visiting this place.  We just went there and did the walk-in lottery.

We did win each time for consecutive 4 times, and then failed several time and then won another two time.  There also good places to visit nearby: South Coyote and White Pocket if you drive a real four wheel drive (4X4).  They are beautiful, too.  Best Regards,
