cherkez 0 Posted July 13, 2011 Nice work. Great sharpness and very soft light. Good contrast too. Congrats. Best regards, Ivan. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 13, 2011 John,Tess is a very pretty girl. I love the sensual innocence you have brought out. I can really feel the connection she has with the viewer -- well done. Her skin tone, the butterfly (Paramount/Hollywood) lighting, composition, eye contact, contrast, make-up, and specular highlights on her lips, the background and her separation from the background are all excellent -- very professional looking. The only thing that bothers me is her catchlights. You have two catchlights in each of her eyes. One catchlight per eye is preferred. It is best to have the catchlights located above the center of her pupils on her irises. You don't want them below the center of her pupils. That makes it appear that the light is coming from below her eyes. This is not a normal position for lights. I would be best to just retouch that second lower catchlight out of the image. If I was still teaching portraiture I wouldn't hesitate to use this as an example of how to correctly shoot a head and shoulders portrait where the girl is looking over her shoulder.Nice shot,Mark Link to comment

jkilgo 0 Posted July 16, 2011 This is nice...excellent tones and textures, the over the shoulder pose is nicely executed here...and I really like her lovely demure expression. Very good eye contact...you really draw me in and hold my attention here. Link to comment
