Wow, very cleverly done and I am more impressed that it was mostly created without PS.

This maybe the only seven's I've ever given. Really great job. The only thing that would be better is if you could have gotten Monica Luinsky to pose. This gives me an idea for my Erotic Hardware folder.

Let me first say that I enjoy your work in your gallery but this image rating seems out of place.

 

I find it amazing that a digital work can receive a 7/7. Personally only an unaltered capture should get a 7 on a "photo" site. If this was an advertisement then I can see it. This image in my opinion hurts the rest of your galleries rating.

A little miffed are we? James get a grip. My comment on your photo was a blanket statement. I liked your work but in my opinion felt that the image in question would be better suited in another folder since it was manipulated. A fact you did not hide and I appreciate that.

 

My comment may have had a tone you didn't like but it was honest. I seeked you out because you shoot with similar tools. Personally I prefer to shoot square. I joined photo.net because I got the impression that it was a photographers site.

 

If you find photography hard then you're struggling. A pinhole camera is all that is required. Yes I'm aware of the physics of light, yadda, yadda, yadda, it has nothing to do with the skill of the photo taker capturing the moment with emotion.

 

You mentioned that you are a pro photographer with 35 years in the business and thats great, rock on.

 

I find it funny that you assume I'm wet behind the ears and I'm alright with that. But I now feel compelled to set the record straeght since you made it sound like your the Yoda of photography. I own two studios (and I don't mean out of a garage) and a camera pro-shop in Cary North Carolina.

 

I have a problem with manipulated imagery and I'm not affraid to say so. I do know something about digital imagery since I do write books and tutorials on the subject of 3D and image manipulation.

So you see I do practice, practice, practice but I get paid to do what you call hard.

 

I did state that I liked your gallery I just thought the manipulated image was out of place. If that offended you then I apologize. If you want to rate my folders below average then knock yourself out I take photos I think I would like not anyone else. Unless your paying me to of course.

I like this idea, A LOT. I know it sounds strange to say but I think the girl looks quite 'cartoon-like' I would like to see her looking a bit more real?
