This li'll fella is probably no more than 5mm long as it sits

comfortably in the middle of a buttercup flower - about the best I can

get from the sigma 135 1:3.

Hey!, this image is not too shabby, inspite of your reservations about the capabilities of your lens. The overall presentation is sound and I like the muted colours surrounding the starkness of the fly.

I cannot recall your exif data here, but I probably would have gone for spot metering and spot AF.

This is a good shot........ well done.
