A.K., this is a very involving photo. Should we just congratulate the young on his passion for reading, of praise the elder for being able to relax and doze off in a second? Or just envy all the people living in a places that need no shoes, one less thing that insulates you from the nature, forget the concrete paving slabs? It may be on low side regarding contrast and tonal ranges, but it also lowers any residual tension in the scene. Congratulations!

The postures, especially the bown heads, really are fantastic..!  Very classic. That's especially shown on the thumbnail. I'm very glad you are sharing this sensitive and solid scene..! Thanks..!

The original colored version really is a pearl. The person's belly on the left is much more less massive.  

Very nice street scene, not only age and pose  difference, even the light/dark cloths are  a symbol of one vs. the other.....

The guy on the left looks like he can't believe he ate the whole thing. One man's vice likely to be good food, the other his cigarettes.  We know smoking is bad for us but this shot makes one ponder if we shouldn't cut back on the sugary, starchy foods too.  Good choice to present in B&W.  Minimizes the visual distractions.  Great contrasts in physiques.  Excellent shot on several levels.  Best, LM.

Very good tones in the b/w version though I must say the coloured one is more to my taste with all the brightness and contrasts. Amazing detail. Regards.
