Catching a hummingbird in mid-flight is no easy task, and you did it beautifully. I had a difficult enough time trying to keep up with a bee that was moving from flower to flower. In addition the colors in this photo are beautiful. Splendid image!

Thanks Dan! I've been trying to get this type of shot for about 3 years :-).  The blue hibiscus is sort of very busy and it's hard to get good composition.

Superb...  and you managed to get the bug on the back of the petal as well ;-)... Really excellent work... Mike

This is amazing...on many levels...one of the best Hummingbirds I've ever seen on PN...such detail and the timing is perfect....I really like that the bird is mostly separated from the flower...this really makes it stand out and accentuates the detail in this image.  The contrasting colors are also very nice...beautifully composed...not sure what else to say...a definite winner here.

Thank you Folks! personally, I wish it was a bit sharper (but may be I am too greedy). Most of the time, the bird does not feed inside the flower, she would lick at the back of the flower but for some reason this bird did this and .. right in front of me (as though she read my mind/wish) ... happy shooting!
