papasan 0 Posted July 8, 2011 Great image Tm. I really like the sky and the reflection, The foreground elements are very nice and leading the eye into the frame. I find however that the mountain gets a bit diminished in the background, i would consider three things if this was my image: 1) i would crop it tighter to really bring out the mountain as the main subject; 2) i would darken the sky and the reflection slightly; and 3) i would selectively sharpen (only) the clouds a little to make them pop out of the frame. I took the liberty of playing a little with your image to illustrate my points, i do not claim mine is better than yours just different. Overall great image. Regards - michel Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted July 8, 2011 Love it Michel! The modified photo stand out much more IMO. This is great since I also post on a critique site but yet they don't allow this type of modification posted in CC as you have done. Nothing like a picture that goes along the CC (as in this case) to illustrate the point. Appreciate your visit and time very much! Happy .. shooting! Link to comment
joewhite 0 Posted July 11, 2011 Great photo.Michel's version is very good, the cropping helped, however, I didn't care for the clouds, but preferred the original. These things are a matter of taste, of course. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment
