jennifer_hutchings1 0 Posted July 7, 2011 I really like this image. It tells a beautiful story. I love how this picture shows movement, especially how the gentelman's foot is lifted as he walks. I also like how the black line from the umbrella draws attention to the people and frames their heads. THe background is a little busy however I feel the black and white is really effective. I think all of the colours might have been a little distracting. Great picture :) Link to comment
Alex_Es 388 Posted July 7, 2011 This is a capture to die for. It's funny. It's romantic. It's surreal. Framing is perfect. The two people are exactly right. There is a bit of mystery about them as you cannot see their faces. The background is excellent too. I am sure someone will eventually tell you the background should be blurred. Don't buy it. It is exactly right. The two people are ordinary (except for the umbrella) and this is counterpointed by the ordinariness of the background. Blur it and you create ambiguity which would detract from the fine balance of the ordinary and the absurd. The only thing I would change is the title. Don't lead your viewers; let them discover the ultimate absurdity--no rain--for themselves. Link to comment

matthijs 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Hun "Aanblick" is een beetje verborgen... I like the shot. Very Dutch. The crop's a tad tight on their feet but that doesn't really hurt the picture or the atmosphere. All the best, Matthijs. Link to comment
Donna Stavis 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Hi Ruud! Soooo good! It's suprising because it has a theme of romance of younger lovers, but they're not young! It's an offshoot/a slight twist of the theme, which is fun. Also, since we can only discern part of their features, it's less about individuals, more universal. I like the background. I also like the degree of contrasts. Best regards, Donna Link to comment
llgarcia 1 Posted July 7, 2011 Transparent umbrella, no strong sunshine, no rain? - leaves something for the viewer to think about and this makes the image very special. Nicely thought of and captured Ruud. Regards! - Lester Link to comment
