This looks like an old American icon. Wonderful!  Did you take it of a tourist train?  Nice work, although a somewhat over saturated IMHO.   Best regards.  Larry

Very good atmosphere!

I'd probably have liked it even better if the train had moved 25 yards further (about halfway between the current position and the tiny shed) however I understand the difficulty thereoff, I find timing my own train shots hard too...

All the best, Matthijs.

Carol:  I like this shot. I don't shoot too many trains but enjoy looking at photos of them.  I eat in a restaurant called Sante Fe here in NY.  Tex Mex type food.  They have this great mural painting - huge- across the wall of a Santa Fe train running through a Southwest Desert.   I agree with the last poster though.  The picture is a  little left heavy and the flag becomes the main subject rather than the train pulling the eye to the left.  Allowing the train to be to the right some more would satisfy the balance and make the train, much larger now, the main center of interest and more dramatic.  I like the red sky, red train cars and red in the flag all together too.  Nice shot. Alan
