The B & W tones play a pivotal role here in enhancing the starkness of the trees within the landscape. The plume of clouds adds to this once more giving a soft backdrop to the tree limbs that reach in vain for heaven.  I notice the shadows of the trees on the left and wonder if it would have been possible to include them, I think they would have made an interesting addition, but realise of course there could be unwanted elements to the left. To summarise this is a well thought out image with a strong composition and an atmosphere of remoteness

Well done Hamid!

Best Regards

Alf

Well seen Hamid, the branches and clouds play very well for this shot, the B/W is a good option in this case. I agree with Alf about the shadows of the trees, is just my opinion, anyway this is a beautiful shot. Congratulations my friend. My rate: 6.

Beautiful composition and brilliant bw tonality. The triangular shape of the cloud starting from the middle of the tree along with the placement of the tree itself with its shadow have made the composition distinguished. Best regards.

Absolutely beautiful black and white landscape. Your title relates very well to a dying tree in an arid soil. The very dramatic clouds compliment the scene very well and affords nice balance. Congratulations, Hamid. - Lester

Bob, thank you for your positive input. Much appreciated.

Alf, i should express my deep gratitude and appreciation for your thorough analysis and exact explanation. Also completely agreed with your wise suggestion, but any vertical framing would limit any opportunity to play with elements to be framed, especially space occupying ones like horizontal shadows. Anyway, that would very nice addition to the shot, but i preferred this composition for less elements and clean overall appearance in coordinance with the vastness and loneliness. Thank you so much for your time and positive input.

Anabela, Greatly appreciated for your continued encouragements and nice words. Highly valuable for me.

Fernando, I'm so happy you liked and accepted photo, and so much thanks for your suggestion. Actually when you return from any photo trek and review your shots, you realise that how many oppotunities existed that you actually lost them, and there is no chance to go back and correct them. This case may be such one, and for repeat shot, i must drive near 2500 km. But SO MANY POINTS I LEARNED FROM THIS SUGGESTIONS, AND USE THEM IN FUTURE SHOTS. Thank you again, dear friend.

Kallol, Highly appreciated and so much thanks for your nice warm words, continuous support and positive input.

I think Alf covered most of the most important technical aspects of this shot. I find it to be very interesting, especially your choice of POV, wonderful detail and perspective. The impressive sky certainly adds 'drama' to the shot. Well done Hamid!!

Most sincerely, Gail
