Thanks brave friend, the title was the hardest. By "caught" I did mean his being caught by "problems." I have a different shot, taken before, there the handicap clearly got shown. It was a profile shot. This image, yes I did "overrule" him is more worthy plus the composition is great.

Did think of converting it, but a part of this very delicate, sensitive expression gets lost in B&W. My Panny did have stabilisation, Panasonic started with it, and yes, it's great, however moving people in fact keep moving, the stabilizer only is stabilizing the camera plus it's objective. So only the half of the total moving, a moving subject keeps moving. (With even 1/15 second plus tele, I still in fact could and sometimes did shoot everything, except moving subjects.)

In needing a faster AF, I got the D50. However, for this kind of portraits and playing on safe, again a "slightly" faster AF is needed (D90) The used speed was at least 1/000 here, but the eyes aren't sharp, so by my fast reacting and still moving camera plus his moving, the AF speed couldn't handle it. At least, that's what I do suppose. Fortunately it happens only seldomly. Haha, yes, mostly at the nicest moments. And the D90? Probably not. :)

He is in another far far world with his thought.

A not so nice world.

The moment is exellent.

And yes could a bit sharper.

Indeed, a different world, a world being able in even (partially) and innerly taking over the controll. In fact a prisonner (being caught) needs liberation.

About sharpness, his jack is sharp and partially the hair in back. Could be the objective, I did forgot the term, but in that case the shapness can be too much in back or in front. Normally the objective can get a technical correction by technics. However this sharpness "in back" with the used objevtive seldomly does happen. If being a "standard" problem, all my different shots would show the same issue, and that's not the case. Not moving subjects and mostly the moving ones as well are tack sharp. However, high exp. speed always is very important. Aan je foto's denkend, mis je Afrika ?

Caught! in a trap ? in the moment?by the lens? some people always have a certain look on their face . a frowny face sorta speak and some always appear to be smiling? probably just having a bad hair day is all... nice catch.. take care Olaf sam.

Your questions, suggestions already got answered in a previous reaction. Take care in too spontanious reacting, sometimes my problem as well. :) Olaf.

the slight blur, brother, could be palatable here to the mood of this poor fellow's distress and confusion, which is so indisputably captured in his eyes and deeply frowned forehead; let's not over-react to the blur, perfection that is otherwise you, because you've not mutilated it unsharp. it's still a viable capture that i would make a neighbor in your otherwise technically flawless village of emotions rendered... this, so moving an emotional capture of a dissatisfied face ;-} dp

OLAF MY QUESTIIONS ARE PURELY RHETORICAL. YOUR ASSUMTIONS OF HOW THIS MAN FEELS ARE NO MORE CORRECT THAN MINE. IT CAN BE INTERPRETED IN MANY WAYS... AT LEAST ONE WOULD HOPE....PERHAPS I SEE THE WORLD DIFFERENTLY THAN MOST THAT DOESNT MAKE ME WRONG AND EVERYONE ELSE RIGHT

Please, keep the world seeing differently, that's your strenght..! However I saw my fellow citizin differently, I told about an earlier shot. The essence just can't and shouldn't be discussed here, especially not in this way. Olaf.
