tm_j 30 Posted June 30, 2011 Thanks Gregory! I always thought people PS the lakes color a bit more but that torquoise color lake is real. The glacier scraped the rock into powder and those glacier flour suspended in the clear glacier water created that 'unreal' color.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rock_flour Link to comment
dom1 1 Posted June 30, 2011 Great colors! Yea, with the exchange rate, that's incentive to vacation in the USA. Link to comment
steveshinn 0 Posted July 1, 2011 A beautiful shot Tue. The colors are fantastic and... accurate! The glacial silt really makes it unusual. This is one of the most beautiful lakes we've visited but the sky was lousy when we were there. Nice shootin'! I think I would crop out some of the distracting foreground and make it more of a panorama shot letting those beautiful colors pop even more.Alternatively you might just burn/darken the brighter dirt a little.... just a thought. tm_j 30 Posted July 2, 2011 Thanks Steve! Good to hear from you, had the same thought about the foreground. I know what you mean about rain, I got rain on/off and got rain out on the last day in Jasper at Edith Carvel & Lake Maligne. Link to comment
