Top Notch! Great subject and excellent lighting control. Nice.

Thanks Malcolm! I did use an ND4 filter to be able to slowdown the SS and was blessed with just a little bit of sunlight to bring out the details of the strong current. Too much sunlight would wash out the details of the white is what I've found.

Thanks Dominick! Still trying to recover from the devaluation of the US dollars. Last time I was in Canada (10+ years ago) it was the other way around.  :-)

Muchas Gracias Ricardo! Glad that I did not go for a slower SS since that would definitely smooth out some details. I have a habit of closing the lens to the smallest f-stop (f22 in this case). But, I was afraid of losing details and left the f-stop at f16.

Perfect!  The water speed is just right to show movement and power, but detailed enough to follow.  Excellent detail in the rocks and as was mentioned, you can hear the water.  Is that a person in the upper left at the 1/3 point?... Mike

Thanks Michael! Good to hear from you, yes, that's a person. I like the way they present this falls, they allow visitors to see the falls from both side at the front as well as the back end where the water flow into a river/creek. They let us cross over at the middle of the water fall through a bridge and that where I was standing to shoot this whirlpool.

wonderful image. the ND4 was definitely the right choice. It allows the power of the water to be captured but still allows detail to show.

You are right the smaller photo does not allow the full beauty to shine thru. I really enjoyed the larger.
