I saw the egg last Thursday and today the beauty was looking right at

me asking for help! It took me two hours of waiting and after hundreds of

images this is what I get. I wanted to show his shyness and connection

with parents that were all over, touching and sitting on him/her. The

others were trying to get close and the father will attack them. The

keeper told me the father is the one sitting on and watching over

closely.Thank you for looking. Comments/Rates appreciated.

I have rated this at a 6. I know some will say that is to high and maybe others to low. I think it has interest I have never seen a chick before and knew that the nest were usually formed with clay so it had all the elements that to me created interest... nice work... MJ

Such a great set of shots jorge!!! What a cute little guy, love his 'knobby knees'!!! (room to grow I suppose !!). The animal kingdom is fascinating in all it's wonder. I've learned even more today!!

Kind regards on a beautiful shot, and series, sincerely, Gail

Lovely shot and i appreciate all of the other images. It felt like I was there with you.

I did a crop of the original  which to me takes away some distractions allowing me to focus on the chick and the two adults - presumably the proud parents.

A 6 from me also.

Enhorabuena. Todo lo mejor. Vicente.

Hallo Jorge, and pleased to meet you. Firstly, I would like to say thank you for your visit to my Port and all the messages you left at various captures. One of your messages mentioned that you are from Cuba - Aaaah CUBA - I am hoping that we will be visiting your country of birth in the near future since it has been one of the countries on my list.

Ok, now this unexpected series of Flamingos with the baby and also my first time that I have seen so many captures in one session of posting since I have been a Member at photo.net. Wonderful and refreshing. This is truly a treat for myself since in all my years of being on this planet I have never had the priviledge of actually seeing a baby Flamingo in real life. Ok, I have seen them in books and captures such as yours but this experience you had, never. Congratulations, on all these beautiful captures and thank you for sharing your experience with us all. I am certainly going to be visiting your Port often.Warmest Regards from South Africa and greetings to your family.

Beautiful documentary on the birth and love of a newborn. We all are really the same animals! With Tony's crop, I think the image works better, though.
