I agree with your opening statement.

You did a good job, except you did not provide any useful details as to what lens and setting you used for this capture. The camera type reveals very little.

My ratings are based on both the image itself, and the technical merits of what was used.

I think this would be a realy good portrait if the eyes were razor sharp, the pose is good and the capture of the wind swept hair adds interest, however without the the crispness in the eyes the image becomes a bit flat.

I agree...simple is definitely better...a beautiful portrait here...I really like the soft film feel of this image...wonderful motion in her hair...excellent soft natural lighting and nice eye contact.  Nicely captured.

A nice portrait, but the softness does detract.

BTW--the notion of rating an image based on what gear was used to make it is the height of absurdity, IMO.

I think if I were to shoot it again... I would have expanded the depth of field a tad...  

You know it, I'm a lover of portrait and this one is really a very good work!
