Hi all, friends,

this is one of two macro shots were I captured an unknown (to me, of course)

butterfly (if it is a butterfly). I would like you help to choose the better between

the two and I will be very grateful if someone could provide the species name.

Tnx a lot

Mauro

Hi Noncho,

and tnx for your choice. I'm still doubtful about which I like more, but probably you're right.

I'll visit your page soon. Best regards

Tnx friends for your appreciation. It seems that this picture doesn't match the taste of my visitors!  :-)

It is a moth (falena) and his name should be Zygaena trifolii (Five-spot Burnet). You can find some on my portfolio (Spring 2011), but Six spot Burnet (zygaena filipendulae). Good photo, a little too satured IMHO. Great lens (105). Best regards Antonio

Hi Antonio! Tnx for the name. But, ..., know what?!

These pictures have been shot in your beloved Abruzzo!

During the last w/e I came to Penne to collect my elder son at the end of his WWF Campus in Penne abd we spent two days getting here and there in the wonderful countryside between Penne and Moscufo!

Bye

Mauro
