red & black butterfly 2

Hi all, friends,

this is one of two macro shots were I captured an unknown (to me, of course)

butterfly (if it is a butterfly). I would like you help to choose the better between

the two and I will be very grateful if someone could provide the species name.

This is a most attractive butterfly.

The yellow flower is a fine background for such a high contrast subject.
