These are two out three baby Marmots and their mother that were curious about me and my camera. I wanted to get the whole family, but they didn't co-operate. Notice the ears, they look so human. That, and the tiny hands and fingers make them so appealing to me.

An excellent shot Linda! I like the fact the both of them are alertly looking in different directions. Superb detail, and excellent timing. Well done!

All the best,
Neil

Thank you everyone! I really do appreciate it when people take time to look and comment on my photos.

Gail, you know I have never seen baby Marmots play. They spend most of their time eating, digging holes and lounging in the sun, just like the adults. They always look like they should have sunglasses and cocktails in their hands.

Best wishes.

I've never seen a marmot, but I love watching the chipmunks outside and once battled a hawk when it went after them.  I love their eyes, which look bright and vibrant, and the composition is nice here.  Good job on the textures of the hair and pipe.

Cute little beggars.  We don't have them here but loved them when we visited Montana many years ago... Mike
