Spur of the moment shot -- worth keeping or should I give it the boot?

Shadows need a kick

I like the contrast but the DOF needs to be more for me. THe near side spur rivit (?) and strap are JUST starting to get out of focus.

 

I could see this printed LARGE and having it's own wall space were it sharp all the way.

 

Other than that it's a great picture. Good job!

I like it and agree with the others. Bring out the shaded areas some more.

Not sure what this is, really. The curvy lines and details/texture are very nice, though I could do with some more shadow detail and DOF to cover the right side in sharp focus.

It seems unbalanced as a composition...my eye wanders around without coming to rest anywehre. It looks like the far right of the picture has the focus, so that the blue jean cuff looks more in focus that the center hardware. It does seem like more DOF would be part of the solution. Then we could "see" if the composition worked better.
