pnital 36 Posted June 25, 2011 The flood of orange, with a touch of yellow of the emerging sun is impressive, and enhances the black boat and the people working. I like the far away shore still looks "sleeping". Very nice execution ,Amal. Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted June 27, 2011 MY INITIAL REACTION WAS THAT IT WAS A BIT TOO ORANGE BUT THEN I SAT BACK, ENJOYED IT AND CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT IT WAS VERY GOOD 'AS IS'. Thank you for all of your recent support. (sorry for the caps). Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted June 27, 2011 Beautiful photo. Interesting that while for us it is a lovely scene, for those who do it everyday regard this as a chore they have to do do earn their livelihood. Wonder how many of them have time to appreciate the beauty around them. In general, a metaphor of life. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2011 The rich reds, ambers, yellows and golds all paint a portrait of life on the water. the nice back lights add such a solid base for a wonderful photograph my dear friend... MJ Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted June 27, 2011 Patsy, thank you very much for your appreciation & support.Take care.Pnina, I am aware that sunrise/sunset shots are considered blase. But I could not resist sharing with my friends, the play of light & colours I see during sunrise. What you presume as "far away shore still looks "sleeping", is thick layers of clouds. The refraction of light on the clouds creates the hue. Thank you for liking the shot.Tatjana, you are right. Many thanks for your feedback.Ruud, I am glad that you like the shot. I did not work on the image. The colors are original. Thank you very much.Mahen, I like your quote. Thank you very much, dear friend.Tony, as I have mentioned to Ruud, the colors are 'AS IS'. I am an ardent admirer of your superb photography. Thus, your views are very much appreciated.Samrat, you are partially right. The fishermen ,perhaps, have no time to admire the colours of dawn. They are more interested in their 'catch' ,which will enable them to earn 'cash'. But for me, each dawn brings me joy and charges my 'pacemaker'.MJ, I am glad that you liked this shot. Thank you very much.Jonakidi, I enjoy the colours of dawn , almost everyday. I consider myself lucky to be alive to witness the glorious spectacle of Nature daily. Thank you very much for your encouragement and support, all these years.Bobby, you made my day. Thank you very much, dear friend. Link to comment

w-j-li 0 Posted August 1, 2011 Well composed. Just wonder why the silhouette of the boats and the people are also clear since they are moving and you will have to use the long exposure in such condition. Love your photos. Best Regards, Link to comment
